Terms of sale
English translation of the French Conditions générales de vente, provided for information. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
Section 1. Purpose, scope and acceptance
1.1. These terms of sale (the "Terms") govern sales of products concluded on skinorea.com (the "Site") between SKINOREA and any natural person acting for non-professional purposes (the "Customer").
1.2. Sales are for personal use only. Purchasing for resale is prohibited.
1.3. These Terms are supplemented by the Shipping and returns page (rates and delivery times by destination) and the Legal guarantee page. In case of conflict, these Terms prevail.
1.4. The Customer declares that they are of legal age and able to enter into a contract, or that they have the consent of their legal guardian.
1.5. The Customer accepts the Terms by ticking the box provided before confirming their order. The Terms that apply are those in force on the date of the order. They are available at all times in the footer of the Site and can be saved and printed.
Section 2. Seller
The Site is operated by SKINOREA, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of €1,000, registered office at 61 rue de Lyon, 75012 Paris, France, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 987 821 840, EU VAT number FR05987821840. Publication director: Nivine Hassan, President.
- General questions: hello@skinorea.com
- Orders, deliveries, returns and complaints: orders@skinorea.com
- Contact form: skinorea.com/en/pages/contact
SKINOREA's premises are not open to the public: orders cannot be collected in person.
Section 3. Products
3.1. SKINOREA sells authentic cosmetic products from Korean brands, sourced directly from South Korea.
3.2. Each product page sets out the main characteristics of the product: size, directions for use, list of ingredients (INCI) and precautions. Photos are as accurate as possible; colours may vary depending on the screen.
3.3. Brands may change the packaging or formula of their products. The list of ingredients that prevails is the one printed on the packaging of the product received.
3.4. Products are delivered with an expiry date or period after opening (PAO) compatible with normal use.
3.5. Before first use, SKINOREA recommends testing the product on a small area of skin. Customers with a known allergy or sensitivity check the ingredient list before buying.
3.6. Products are offered while stocks last. If a product becomes unavailable after the order, SKINOREA informs the Customer by email and refunds the corresponding amount no later than 14 days after payment.
3.7. Free samples added to orders are a commercial gesture. SKINOREA chooses them and they cannot give rise to any claim.
Section 4. Prices
4.1. Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included (French VAT included), excluding delivery costs.
4.2. Delivery costs are shown before the order is confirmed, depending on the destination and the delivery method chosen, and are listed on the Shipping and returns page.
4.3. The price that applies is the one displayed when the order is confirmed. SKINOREA may change its prices at any time, with no effect on orders already confirmed. Promotions are valid for the stated period and while stocks last. In the event of an obvious pricing error (a derisory price or one unrelated to the product's value), SKINOREA may cancel the order and refund the Customer.
4.4. For deliveries outside the European Union (in particular Switzerland) and to certain French overseas territories, customs duties, import taxes or dock dues (octroi de mer) may be charged on delivery. These remain payable by the Customer. For the French overseas departments and territories, no tax is normally charged on orders under €150, delivery included and before discounts.
Section 5. Orders
5.1. To place an order, the Customer:
- adds products to their cart;
- enters their contact details and delivery address;
- chooses a delivery method;
- checks the order summary (products, prices, costs, total) and corrects any errors;
- accepts the Terms;
- confirms the order with the payment button, which means an order with an obligation to pay, then pays.
5.2. The order is final once payment is confirmed, subject to the checks in section 6. SKINOREA sends the Customer a confirmation email with the details of the order.
5.3. The Customer is solely responsible for the accuracy of the information they enter (name, email, phone, address). To correct an error, they contact SKINOREA as soon as possible at orders@skinorea.com: changes remain possible until the order has shipped.
5.4. Quantities. SKINOREA may limit purchases to 5 to 10 units of the same product per customer, depending on the type of product, in particular during promotions. This limit applies per customer, including where purchases are split across several orders, accounts, addresses or payment methods. Orders exceeding it may be reduced or cancelled, with a refund of the corresponding amounts.
5.5. Changes or cancellation by the Customer. A confirmed order can no longer be changed or cancelled once it has shipped; the Customer may then exercise the right of withdrawal (section 11).
5.6. Record keeping. For any order of €120 or more, SKINOREA keeps the written record of the contract (order confirmation, invoice and version of the Terms accepted) for 10 years and provides it to the Customer on request.
5.7. The contract is concluded in French. This English translation is provided for information; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
Section 6. Fraud prevention, refusal and cancellation of orders
6.1. Checks. Orders undergo automated and, where needed, manual fraud checks. Before shipping, SKINOREA may ask the Customer for any proportionate supporting document (ID document, on which some details may be hidden, proof of address, confirmation by phone or email). The order is on hold until it is received. Without a satisfactory reply within 5 working days, the order is cancelled and refunded.
6.2. Legitimate reasons for refusal or cancellation. SKINOREA may refuse or cancel an order, before or after payment, in particular in the event of:
- serious suspicion of fraud (payment, identity, address, use of several accounts or payment methods);
- a payment incident or rejection, or a previous unjustified bank dispute (chargeback);
- an unresolved previous dispute with the Customer;
- abnormal quantities or purchase for resale (section 5.4);
- manifest abuse: repeated, manifestly abusive withdrawals, repeated unproven claims of non-receipt or missing items, repeated unfounded complaints, return of products different from those delivered;
- insulting, threatening or defamatory remarks towards SKINOREA or its team;
- serious breach of these Terms.
6.3. The Customer is informed of the cancellation by email and refunded no later than 14 days, with no further compensation.
6.4. In these cases, SKINOREA may add the Customer to an internal exclusion list and refuse further orders, under the conditions set out in section 15 and in the Privacy policy.
Section 7. Discount codes and gift cards
7.1. Only one discount code can be used per order. Codes cannot be combined with each other or with a Glow Club reward.
7.2. Each code is valid under the conditions and for the period stated when it is issued. It cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash. A code reserved for a first order or a specific customer is personal and non-transferable.
7.3. Any fraudulent use of a code (multiple accounts, false identities, sharing a personal code) results in cancellation of the benefit or the order.
7.4. Gift cards are available in amounts from €25 to €200. They are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase and can be used once or several times on the Site. Any balance not used at expiry is lost. They cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash, subject to the buyer's right of withdrawal as long as the card has not been used.
7.5. SKINOREA is not liable for the loss, theft or use by a third party of a gift card code shared by the Customer. A gift card bought with a fraudulent payment method is cancelled.
Section 8. SKINOREA Glow Club loyalty program
8.1. The SKINOREA Glow Club program is free and open to any Customer with an account on the Site. Only one account per person is allowed.
8.2. Earning points:

The free product changes over time: it is shown in the Customer's loyalty area at the time of redemption, while stocks last. Rewards take the form of a single-use discount code, subject to section 7.1.
8.4. Expiry. Points expire after 12 months without activity on the Customer's account.
8.5. Cancellation and refund. If all or part of an order is cancelled or refunded, the points earned on that order are removed in proportion to the amount refunded. If a reward was used on that order, the corresponding points are credited back in the same proportion.
8.6. Fraud. Multiple accounts, fake referrals (self-referral, fictitious addresses), manipulation of the program or abusive bank disputes result in cancellation of the points and rewards concerned and suspension of the loyalty account.
8.7. SKINOREA may change or end the program after informing members at least 30 days in advance. Points already earned remain usable during this period.
Section 9. Payment
9.1. Payment is due when the order is placed. Accepted payment methods:
- Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards (via Shopify Payments);
- PayPal, including PayPal's pay-in-instalments option;
- Apple Pay and Shop Pay.
9.2. Payment in instalments is granted and managed by PayPal, under its own terms and subject to its approval. SKINOREA receives the full order amount.
9.3. Payments are processed by secure providers, with strong authentication (3D Secure) where the bank requires it. SKINOREA never has access to the Customer's card details. If payment is declined, the order is automatically cancelled.
9.4. Bank disputes. Before any dispute with their bank, the Customer contacts customer service, which handles the request. If a payment for a delivered order is disputed without valid reason, SKINOREA sends the bank all supporting evidence (order, proof of delivery, correspondence), may take steps to recover the sums due, suspend the customer and loyalty accounts (points cancelled) and refuse further orders (section 6).
Section 10. Delivery
10.1. Destinations. SKINOREA delivers to mainland France, the French overseas departments and territories, the countries of the European Union and Switzerland. Destinations, delivery methods, rates and free delivery thresholds are listed on the Shipping and returns page and shown before the order is confirmed.
10.2. Shipping. Orders are prepared and shipped from our logistics warehouse in the Île-de-France region (France), Monday to Friday except public holidays. Any order placed on a working day before 1 pm (Paris time) ships the same day, subject to the checks in section 6.
10.3. Carrier. For each parcel, the carrier is selected automatically based on the delivery address and the chosen delivery method, to ensure the best possible delivery time and reliability. The carrier's name and tracking link are sent to the Customer by email when the order ships.
10.4. Delivery times. The delivery times shown at checkout run from the date of shipping. If no date is stated, delivery takes place no later than 30 days after the order.
10.5. Delivery address. The Customer is solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the address entered: name as shown on the letterbox, number, street, building, floor, access code, postcode, city and a reachable phone number. SKINOREA is not liable for any delay, loss or return caused by a wrong or incomplete address or by the absence of a name on the letterbox. Once the order has shipped, any change of address must be requested from the carrier, at the Customer's expense where applicable.
10.6. Pickup points. Parcels are kept at pickup points for a limited time (usually 5 days), stated in the arrival notice. During busy periods, the carrier may redirect the parcel to a nearby pickup point; the Customer is informed by email. The Customer monitors their tracking emails and text messages and collects the parcel within the time allowed.
10.7. Parcels returned to sender. Where a parcel comes back to the warehouse because of the Customer (not collected from the pickup point, refused on delivery, wrong or incomplete address, recipient unknown or not living at the address given) without the Customer having notified SKINOREA of their withdrawal beforehand, the order is refunded once the parcel is back at the warehouse, after deduction of the original delivery costs, which are not refunded, and a €7 return fee. To receive the products, the Customer places a new order. This rule does not apply to a parcel refused because it is visibly damaged.
10.8. Receipt, damaged or incomplete parcel. The Customer checks the condition of the parcel on receipt, in the presence of the delivery driver or at the pickup point. If the packaging is damaged, open or wet, the Customer refuses the parcel or makes specific written reservations with the carrier; without reservations, the parcel is deemed received in good condition by the carrier. The Customer reports any damaged parcel, broken, missing or wrong product to orders@skinorea.com within 2 days of receipt, with their order number and photos of the parcel, packaging, label and products, and keeps the packaging until the claim is closed. After this deadline, SKINOREA can no longer file a claim with the carrier. SKINOREA checks the claim against the packing data and the parcel weight recorded at shipping; an unjustified claim is rejected. These steps do not affect the Customer's statutory guarantees (section 12).
10.9. Parcel shown as "delivered" but not received. The Customer first checks their letterbox, neighbours, building caretaker and pickup point, then reports it to orders@skinorea.com within 2 days of the delivery notice. SKINOREA files a claim with the carrier; the Customer provides a signed sworn statement of non-receipt and, if requested, a copy of their police report.
- If the carrier provides proof of delivery (delivery scan at the address given, drop-off photo, signature, or collection from a pickup point with a code or ID), delivery is deemed completed and the risk has passed to the Customer. SKINOREA forwards this proof to the Customer; no reshipment or refund is due. The Customer may take action against the carrier or file a police report.
- If the carrier's investigation concludes the parcel was lost, SKINOREA reships or refunds the order, at its choice.
10.10. Delays and loss. If the parcel is not delivered on the expected date, the Customer contacts SKINOREA at orders@skinorea.com, which opens an investigation with the carrier. If the parcel is declared lost, SKINOREA reships or refunds the order, at its choice. The Customer keeps the right, after giving SKINOREA formal notice to deliver within a reasonable additional period, to terminate the contract if delivery does not take place within that period; all sums paid are then refunded within 14 days.
10.11. Transfer of risk. The risk of loss or damage passes to the Customer when they, or a third party they designate, take physical possession of the parcel, in particular when it is delivered to the address given or collected from a pickup point.
Section 11. Right of withdrawal
11.1. Period. The Customer has 14 days to withdraw from the contract, without giving any reason. This period runs from the day the Customer, or a third party they designate other than the carrier, receives the products. Where an order is delivered in several parcels, it runs from receipt of the last parcel.
11.2. Exception: unsealed products. Under article L.221-28 5° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to products unsealed by the Customer after delivery that cannot be returned for health protection or hygiene reasons. All SKINOREA products are delivered sealed. A product is unsealed as soon as its protective film, seal, cap seal, tamper-evident ring or closed original packaging has been opened, and in any event as soon as it has been tested or used. For a set or bundle, the exception applies to each unsealed product.
11.3. Condition of returned products. Returned products must be new, intact, sealed, complete and in their original packaging. The Customer is liable for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the products. Any returned product that is damaged, incomplete, unsealed or shows signs of use gives rise to a refund reduced in proportion to its loss of value, up to 100% of its price. At the Customer's request, the product is sent back to them at their expense.
11.4. How to withdraw. To withdraw, the Customer informs SKINOREA of their decision before the period expires, by an unequivocal statement, either: by email to orders@skinorea.com, through the contact form on the Site (skinorea.com/en/pages/contact), or by copying the model withdrawal form in the annex. SKINOREA acknowledges receipt of the withdrawal by email and provides the return address.
11.5. Returning products. The Customer sends the products back to the address provided by SKINOREA, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after communicating their decision. The costs and risks of the return are borne by the Customer: a tracked service is strongly recommended, as proof of shipping lies with the Customer. A parcel returned without prior notice of withdrawal may not be identified and its handling may be delayed.
11.6. Refund. SKINOREA refunds all sums paid, including the original delivery costs, no later than 14 days after being informed of the Customer's decision. SKINOREA may withhold the refund until it has received and checked the products or until the Customer has supplied proof of having sent them back, whichever is earlier. Details:
- if the Customer chose a delivery method more expensive than the cheapest standard method offered, the difference is not refunded;
- in the event of partial withdrawal, the original delivery costs are not refunded;
- the refund is made using the payment method used for the order (to the gift card for any part paid by gift card), unless the Customer expressly agrees otherwise, at no cost to them;
- Glow Club points are adjusted under section 8.5.
11.7. Exchanges. SKINOREA does not offer direct exchanges. The Customer exercises their right of withdrawal and then places a new order.
Section 12. Legal guarantees
12.1. All products sold are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L.217-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the legal guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code), as summarised below (translation of the official French text).
The consumer has two years from delivery of the goods to obtain the application of the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears. During this period, the consumer only has to prove the existence of the lack of conformity, not the date on which it appeared.
Where the contract of sale provides for the continuous supply of digital content or a digital service for more than two years, the legal guarantee applies to that digital content or service throughout the planned supply period. During this period, the consumer only has to prove the existence of the lack of conformity affecting the digital content or service, not the date on which it appeared.
The legal guarantee of conformity requires the trader, where applicable, to supply all updates needed to keep the goods in conformity.
The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the goods repaired or replaced within thirty days of their request, free of charge and without major inconvenience.
If the goods are repaired under the legal guarantee of conformity, the consumer benefits from a six-month extension of the initial guarantee.
If the consumer asks for the goods to be repaired but the seller imposes a replacement, the legal guarantee of conformity is renewed for two years from the date of replacement.
The consumer may obtain a price reduction while keeping the goods, or terminate the contract and obtain a full refund against return of the goods, if:
- The trader refuses to repair or replace the goods;
- The repair or replacement takes place after thirty days;
- The repair or replacement causes major inconvenience to the consumer, in particular where the consumer definitively bears the costs of taking back or removing the non-conforming goods, or the costs of installing the repaired or replacement goods;
- The lack of conformity persists despite the seller's unsuccessful attempt to bring the goods into conformity.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to terminate the contract where the lack of conformity is so serious that an immediate price reduction or termination is justified. The consumer then does not have to request repair or replacement first.
The consumer is not entitled to terminate the sale if the lack of conformity is minor.
Any period during which the goods are out of use for repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee period until the goods are returned in working order.
The rights above result from articles L.217-1 to L.217-32 of the French Consumer Code.
A seller who obstructs in bad faith the application of the legal guarantee of conformity is liable to a civil fine of up to €300,000, which may be increased to 10% of average annual turnover (article L.241-5 of the French Consumer Code).
The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for two years from discovery of the defect. This guarantee gives the right to a price reduction if the goods are kept, or to a full refund against return of the goods.
12.2. How to claim. The Customer contacts SKINOREA at orders@skinorea.com with their order number, a description of the defect, clear photos of the product and a photo of the batch number and expiry date. SKINOREA may ask for the product to be returned for inspection; return costs are then paid by SKINOREA. Once the defect is confirmed, the product is replaced or, failing that, refunded. The full procedure is on the Legal guarantee page of the Site.
12.3. The following are not a lack of conformity, in particular: a product that does not suit the Customer's skin type or preferences (texture, scent, results); a skin reaction to an ingredient listed on the product page and packaging; damage caused by use contrary to the directions, improper storage (heat, sunlight, humidity) or an accident after delivery; use beyond the period after opening (PAO) or expiry date.
Section 13. Liability
13.1. Advice published on the Site (articles, routines, skin diagnostic) is for information only. It does not replace the advice of a doctor or dermatologist, in particular during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in case of a skin condition or ongoing treatment.
13.2. SKINOREA is not liable for damage resulting from use of the products contrary to the directions and precautions stated, improper storage, a reaction to an ingredient listed on the packaging, or the Customer's failure to meet their obligations under these Terms.
13.3. Nothing in these Terms limits the Customer's statutory rights, in particular under the legal guarantees and product liability rules.
Section 14. Customer service and complaints
Customer service answers by email, usually within 24 to 48 working hours:
- orders, deliveries, returns and complaints: orders@skinorea.com;
- other questions: hello@skinorea.com or the contact form on the Site.
Any complaint states the order number and relevant supporting documents.
Section 15. Personal data
15.1. SKINOREA processes the Customer's personal data to manage orders, delivery, payment, customer relations, the loyalty program and, with their consent, to send offers. Purposes, recipients, retention periods and the Customer's rights (access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability) are described in the Privacy policy of the Site.
15.2. On the basis of its legitimate interest in preventing fraud and non-payment, SKINOREA may process data relating to orders, payments and incidents (fraud, payment rejection, abuse) and keep an internal exclusion list. Data is kept there for a limited period stated in the Privacy policy. The Customer may exercise their rights at hello@skinorea.com and lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority) or the authority of their country.
Section 16. Intellectual property
The texts, photos, visuals, logos and trademarks on the Site are protected. Any reproduction or use without the prior written consent of SKINOREA or the relevant rights holders is prohibited. The brands of the products sold belong to their respective owners.
Section 17. Force majeure
SKINOREA is not liable for non-performance or delay caused by a force majeure event within the meaning of article 1218 of the French Civil Code. The Customer is informed as soon as possible and may, if the event persists, cancel their order and be refunded.
Section 18. Governing law and disputes
18.1. These Terms are governed by French law. A Customer residing in another European Union member state keeps the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.
18.2. In the event of a dispute, the Customer first sends a written complaint to SKINOREA to find an amicable solution. Failing that, the Customer may bring the matter, at their choice, before the court of the place where they lived when the contract was concluded or when the harmful event occurred, or any other competent court.
Section 19. Changes to the Terms
SKINOREA may change these Terms at any time. The version that applies to an order is the one accepted by the Customer when placing that order.
Version in force from 19/10/2026.
