Terms of service

Section 1. Purpose

1.1. These terms of use (the "Terms of Use") set out the rules for accessing and using skinorea.com (the "Site"), published by SKINOREA. They apply to every visitor (the "User").

1.2. Purchases are governed by the Terms of Sale. Legal information on the publisher and host is in the Legal notice. Personal data processing is described in the Privacy policy.

1.3. Browsing the Site means accepting the Terms of Use in force.

Section 2. Access to the Site

2.1. The Site is free to access, excluding internet connection costs paid by the User.

2.2. SKINOREA aims to keep the Site available at all times, but may interrupt it for maintenance, updates or technical incidents, without giving rise to compensation.

Section 3. Customer account

3.1. Creating an account allows the User to track orders and join the SKINOREA Glow Club loyalty program. Only one account per person is allowed.

3.2. The User provides accurate, up-to-date information. They are responsible for keeping their login details confidential and for any use of their account.

3.3. SKINOREA may suspend or delete an account, and cancel the points and benefits attached to it, in particular in the event of:

  • false information or identity theft;
  • multiple accounts or fictitious referrals;
  • fraudulent use of a payment method or abusive bank dispute;
  • purchase for resale;
  • repeated abuse of returns or unfounded complaints;
  • serious breach of the Terms of Use or Terms of Sale.

The User is informed, except in urgent cases of fraud. SKINOREA may then refuse their further orders, under the conditions set out in section 6 of the Terms of Sale and in the Privacy policy.

3.4. The User may ask for their account to be deleted at any time at hello@skinorea.com.

Section 4. Content and advice

4.1. Articles, routines, comparisons and skin diagnostic results are provided for information only. They are not medical advice and do not replace consulting a doctor or dermatologist.

4.2. SKINOREA takes care to publish accurate information but cannot guarantee it is error-free. For products, the ingredient list printed on the packaging received prevails.

Section 5. Intellectual property

5.1. The Site and all its content (texts, photos, videos, visuals, logos, the SKINOREA brand, layout, code) are protected by intellectual property law and belong to SKINOREA or to third parties who have authorised their use.

5.2. Any reproduction, copying, extraction or reuse, in whole or in part, without SKINOREA's prior written consent is prohibited and constitutes infringement. This includes reusing the Site's name, logo, texts, photos or structure on another website.

5.3. The brands of the products presented belong to their respective owners.

Section 6. Customer reviews

6.1. Reviews published on the Site are collected through Judge.me, mainly via the email sent to customers after their order. Reviews from customers who actually bought the product carry a "Verified buyer" label; other reviews do not.

6.2. Reviews are not rewarded in any way. They are published after moderation, without changes to their content, and shown by default from newest to oldest. Both positive and negative reviews are published.

6.3. A review may be rejected or removed if it is unrelated to the product, contains insulting, discriminatory or defamatory remarks, personal data or advertising, or appears to be fake, posted by a competitor or paid for. The author is informed.

6.4. By publishing a review, the User authorises SKINOREA to reproduce it free of charge on the Site and its communication channels, with their first name and the initial of their surname.

Section 7. Prohibited uses

It is prohibited, in particular:

  • to use the Site for fraudulent or unlawful purposes;
  • to automatically extract or collect its content or data (bots, scraping), except search engines;
  • to place orders automatically or to get around quantity limits or offer conditions;
  • to create several accounts or use false identities to obtain benefits;
  • to copy the Site, its brand or its content to create a website imitating SKINOREA;
  • to undermine the security or operation of the Site (viruses, overload, intrusion attempts);
  • to post fake reviews or impersonate a third party.

SKINOREA may block access for any User in breach, cancel the orders concerned and take any appropriate action.

Section 8. External links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (social networks, brand websites, payment or delivery providers). SKINOREA does not control their content and is not responsible for it.

Section 9. Liability

SKINOREA is not liable for damage resulting from an interruption of the Site, use contrary to these Terms of Use, or intrusion by a third party despite the security measures in place. This does not limit the User's statutory rights or the commitments made in the Terms of Sale.

Section 10. Personal data and cookies

Personal data and cookies are handled in accordance with the Privacy policy. The User manages their cookie choices through the banner shown on their first visit.

Section 11. Reporting illegal content

Any manifestly illegal content (review, comment, infringement) can be reported to hello@skinorea.com, stating the page address, the content concerned and the reason for the report.

Section 12. Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by French law. A consumer User keeps the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence and may bring a claim before the competent court under the applicable rules.

Section 13. Changes

SKINOREA may change these Terms of Use at any time. The version in force is the one published on the Site.
